Very nice boot
I was surprised at how thick the sole was (it's very much like a snow boot), but that wasn't a problem. The size chart said a size 40 should be around a 7 1/2, but they were much too big for me, especially around the ankle. I will be giving these as a gift and buying myself another pair. Consider buying two sizes down if you like your riding boots snug!

these boots are awesome!! especially for the price!! they are so warm and not bulky at all. they do run a little small, so i'm glad i got an 8 instead of a 7, but they are great! no more cold feet on my rides!!

These are nice boots
They fit like street boots, I am size 7 1/2 and got the 39 and they fit well. Not super snug like custom talls, I can slip them on, which is what I like for working winter boots. I have a 15 inch calf, and they fit just fine. I just got them, and they seem quite sturdy and nicely made and feel very warm right when you put them on. I would recommend to buy these, good value, attractive and strong.

The price was perfect and we received them during an extreme cold snap in Vermont. My daughter was riding and her ankles were cold in her low boots. I handed these to her, she put them on and she has been warm riding all winter. The size is perfect.

The ovation Blizzard boot really keeps your feet warm
They are easy to put on and take off because of the velcro straps. The only down side is they are not suitable for riding as the tread is too nubby to slip into or more importantly out of the stirrups.

Not only are they warm and dry, both very important since leather boots just turn to mush in the heavy mud, but they are great to ride in as well. I had my concerns that they would be too wide for the stirrups...not a problem at all! I will be living in these until things dry out.

Not much support in this boot
It's much like a sorel type sole & boot. Heavier socks or insoles would help. It is warm and runs true to size. Rode in it with no problem other than not having enough support in bottom of boot.

Nice boots
Warm and have good traction on the ice and snow. I was a little confused about the sizing, I normally wear an 8.5 to a 9 in American sizes or a 39 in European sizes. I went with the 9/40 size because I didn't want them to be too small, but they are quite roomy, even with my wool socks. I thought about sending them back to try size 8/39, but I didn't want to be shipping boots back and forth for the next couple of weeks. Other than that, they are attractive, and work well for my outdoor barn chores.

My 7 year old son just started riding and he loves his new winter boots! They are comfortable and very warm in our harsh Vermont winters. The reasonable price of these boots works for my family as I am sure he will outgrow them by next winter!

I was very excited to find winter riding boots that didn't cost a fortune and would allow me to go through the mud when needed. These boots are toasty warm, keep my feet dry, and look pretty good. The calves are big on me, even with the velcro straps, but that doesn't detract from how they feel when riding. Not quite as stiff in the foot and ankle as my paddock boots, but plenty of support, and that's a small trade-off for the other features. Remains to be seen how well they hold up.

I purchased a pair of these for my granddaughter and she LOVES them! Keeps her legs & feet warm and dry despite weather changes from mud to 15" of snow. Oh, and did I mention she rides in them?

I ordered these for my daughter as she likes to ride in the winter and didn't have any warm riding boots. They look like the much more expensive brands. She loves them.

I love these boots! They keep my feet warm and dry while I am at the barn
I also ride English in them and they work great. The sizes do run large. I am a 6.5 and ordered a 6. I probably should have ordered a 5.5.

I love these boots! They are very warm, adjustable around my big calf and waterproof thru the muckiest hole.

I especially appreciate the roomy toe area because I have arthritis from being stepped on by horses. The adjustable velcro straps are also helpful. They are very warm w/o being too bulky.

Bought these for my husband to work in
He is horseback 12 hrs. a day and needed something to help keep his feet warm. He used to wear wool socks and his feet would still get cold but since he got these all he needs is a pair of light socks. FYI-For the western saddle people, you do need wide roping stirrups for these boots. Once these wear out, I'll be back to buy another pair!!!!!

A great winter boot for the price point
Based on others' reviews, I was concerned about the sizing and consulted the online chat for guidance. I am a solid size 9 and the size 40 fit perfectly and they have been toasty warm.
