I'd previously purchased a Kensington halter from a different vendor in the English Navy. I loved the color and pattern of that halter. I did have issues with the screws holding the leather breakaway piece falling out, so I had to buy a replacement leather, but after that, no issues. It's over a year old and was just starting to have a spot or two where the plaid frayed. Nothing to affect use until my leadrope rusted onto the halter. When I went to replace it, I saw the Kentucky Blue, and being a Kentucky alum, wanted to see what it looked like as any picture I could find was just of the swatch. Equestrian Collections sent me a "picture" of the halter on a model horse (it was not the right halter), but I decided to buy the halter anyway. The blue is a little boring on the halter compared to some of their other plaids, and would be better on a blanket or leg wraps. The halter is very bright, attractive, and comes out of packaging nice and soft and comfortable for the horse. Haven't had any issues with the breakaway bit yet, so overall, highly recommend the Kensington line of halters as they are sturdy and safe.
