The Rambo Wug is durable (mine has lasted 3 years in a herd of 8-12 horses & my horse is in the middle to bottom of the pecking order). The high cut neck is such a great feature, it really keeps the rain & snow from getting down in the shoulders of the blanket. The V front closure is super easy to use and offers great freedom of movement for my horse to eat without being choked as with traditional front closures. The leg arches allow him to run around freely without rubbing & the belly straps keep it in place no matter how much he rolls around in it. This blanket also has a great long tail flap so there is protection against cold winds getting under the blanket. These blankets are fairly expensive; however, they are worth it. I'd rather spend a bit more up front than be scrambling to replace a lesser quality blanket in the midst of a cold snap. The only draw back is the sizing, (although if you go to the Rambo website they have great measuring instructions for their product & I've found that by following those directions I get the proper fit on the first try), the sizes don't run true to what a horse measures. I highly recommend this blanket & I will be investing in the lightweight version for spring & fall seasons! Hope this helps!
