Shires is always reliable for me, not matter the product. This hay net is priced great (2x cheaper than local farm stores!), and it holds up well.

Shires are the best.

Sturdy hay nets withstand sun, tossing around by horses, and everything else except pack rats, who gnaw the nets and carry huge chunks back to their dens, apparently for interior decorating.

Works great on cutting down quick consumption of her hay.

Works at keeping the horses happy but stops them gorging! Safe as the holes are too small for the horses to get caught up in too.

We recently started using hay nets for all of the outdoor paddocks at our barn

The horses definitely take more time to eat their hay and there is not a lot of mess. We ordered some more expensive, bigger hay nets for some but these are great for the smaller guys. We have not had them long enough to determine long term durability, but so far, so good!

use these for my llamas and alpacas

With the larger bag their was always haylleft over and alpacas dont like old hay so these are perfect!

This was just what I needed for my pony

It was a little smaller than I expected, which is actually good because it's the perfect size for her, and the small holes make her hay last longer. Quality and service are excellent!

This is the perfect size for the horse trailer

I use the large size for stalls at night but for a quick bite on the run she smaller size is the way to go.

This has been great for eliminating wasted hay, it stops the horses from eating too fast and dropping half of the hay on the ground. Is also really sturdy and nothing can break it!Going to buy more.

Purchased these as a cheaper alternative to expensive hay bags

They're working perfectly, minimizing hay waste and yet very durable. I've already purchased more of these.

Product is awesome! I wish I had known about this years ago

I love the elimination of wasted hay, The net enables the horses to graze all day by pulling the hay out in strands as opposed to ingesting hay within a couple hours.

I've been using these pony-sized, slow-feed hay nets for my two minis for about a week and find them easy to fill because they are stiff and stay open. They are not too frustrating for the "litle girls," who are very hungry due to the strict diet they are on. The hay nets hold just the right amount of hay for each feeding. I soak the mini's hay in the bags for one hour, then drain before hanging it in their stalls. I'm hoping the bags will hold up well being wet all the time. That's why I only gave them a 5 for durability. Haven't had them long enough to know. Good product!

I was ecstatic to find these 1" hole hay nets by Shires

I have a hinny on stall rest due to a laminitis flare up, and this hay net makes one small flake of hay last all day. I have been using the Shires regular 2" hole hay nets for years, and there is not a more durable net on the market; I expect these new 1" hole "Greedy Feeder" nets will be just as indestructible, and I have 4 more on order.

I love these hay nets

2 of my horses get bored easily and this has significantly reduced the pacing and pawing because they have something to do. For my colicy horse, well, he isn't colicy any more because he is constantly eating. I bought enough nets to prep several feedings which makes life easier when I am leaving early for work - just hang and go. Highly Recommend!

I like the hay nets, but am not too wild about the material(s) used

My other nets are durable, but not as stiff as these. However, they will work just fine.Shipping was slow! I finally called Equestrian Collections and asked what was going on with my order. They were still waiting for the nets from the company... not 'in stock' as I inferred from the web site when I ordered them. Customer service was great... we changed the order (to another color that WAS in stock) and I received them not too long afterwards. All in all, not sure if I will be reordering anything from here.

I just re-ordered after using the same hay nets for well over a year, every day

they have lasted very well and just look a bit worn and gummed up. My horse is a very easy keeper and has mildly foundered so we need to keep his weight down. the hay nets make him eat slow enough that he is entertained for much longer than would ever be possible with free access or regular hay nets.

I have used these bags for almost a year and am very satisfied

I use a locking carabineer to attach the bags to the fence or a wall. I put one bag inside of another to slow down the extra fast eater. They make the hay last longer and reduce horse boredom. The Dura Tech Stable Hand product helps to fill bags easily. The bags can also be left on the ground if horses are barefoot. They are very durable and remain flexible even in freezing weather. There are so many health benefits of slow feeding I find these bags beneficial for every horse that comes through my training barn.

I have been using the 40" size Shires small hole hay nets for my horses since they first became available. They are inexpensive and the most durable ones you can buy. When I saw the "pony" size nets, I bought some for my mini donks to use for soaking/feeding their hay. These little nets are simple to fill if you drape them over a tall 5 gal bucket. Wish the holes were smaller like the holes on the Shires "Greedy Feeder" nets to slow their eating even more, but overall I'm extremely pleased with these nets.

I have added to my hay net collection so that I do not have to refill as often

These nets are great. My horse & donkeys love them. I have found out that the BLUE and Black ones are more supple. The baby blue, Red and Green ones are a bit more stiff in the fabric. So I prefer the BLUE. GREAT NETS!

Great hay net! Nice and sturdy

Easy to fill after using it 2or 3 times. Holds about 4 flakes of hay easily. Could probably fit another flake it you try!

For four years my barn has used Shire's small mesh hay bags in the stalls at night to cut down on hay waste and extend feeding time. I purchased 5 more bags to stuff and toss in the pasture for morning feedings as well. The horses LOVE them! If given the choice, they will eat out of the hay bags instead of free choice hay on the ground. Very durable and easy to clean. My destructo gelding has used the same hay bags for 4 yrs without a rip!

Excellent quality for the price

Serves its intended purpose of allowing horses to have free choice hay 24/7 without waste and allows horses to nibble at a slower healthier rate.
