This half pad is perfect for my horse's needs
The longer sides follow the contours of my saddle and the fleece & pro impact insert cushion my horses's withers and shoulders. The Large size is perfect for my 18" dressage saddle. I purchased the pad to help with saddle fit while my horse is being conditioned after an injury but he seems so comfortable that we might use it beyond our rehab work. I just received the pad so I can't report on the durability but it is well made looks like it will hold up well. I purchased it in black and it's very attractive.

The Ergonomic Dressage Coolmax Half Pad with Pro-Impact Inserts is specially contoured to provide support and protection for critical muscle groups without interfering with movement. The etc fabric top provides a non-slip anti-friction surface for a secure and stable saddle position. It is stain-resistant and easy to clean.
The coolmax lining is 100 polyester orthopedic fleece that has been specially formulated to withstand the rigors of equestrian use. the 1" deep pile is super resilient and provides ideal density and thickness for concussion protection. The half pad is easy to clean both machine washable and dryer safe.
The Pro-impact inserts are made for athletic performance and intense schooling. The ultra-light ultra-thin layer of high density Poron XRD provide superior concussion protection by absorbing 90 of the shock from impact.
