Why wear Half Chaps?
Half chaps have become one of the most popular schooling accessories for English riders. Like tall boots, they provide protection for the lower leg from rubs and horse sweat and provide a little extra grip. However, they are much easier to put on than tall boots and are generally easy-care.
How Do I fit Half Chaps?
Measuring for half chaps is very similar to measuring for tall boots. First, you'll want to dress in the pants and socks that you wear for riding. Then you'll want to sit in a chair with your knee at a 90º angle. Then take a tape measure and go around the circumference of your calf at the widest point. Next, for height measurements, you'll want to go from the floor to the back of the middle of your knee.
Keep these measurements at hand and match them to our handy size charts located to the right of the drop down menu.
