Young Riders Knee Patch Breeches
Knee Patch Breeches are a Must Have Item for Kids Who Ride
If your child rides English they will need a pair (probably several pairs!) of knee patch breeches. Knee patch breeches are the "work horses" of equestrian attire.
The name comes from patches on the insides of the knees that protect legs from rubs on the saddle. Originally, those patches were leather or goat skin, but most often they are now made from various forms of synthetic suede. Traditionally kids knee patch breeches were beige or tan, but now they come in a rainbow of colors and even prints and plaids.
For showing, your child will need a basic pair of tan breeches, with belt loops and a zipper (side zips for girls, front fly for boys). For lessons and fun, there is no limit!
