What is the Difference Between a Jumper Show Coat and a Hunter Show Coat?
Overall, show coats for the hunter ring tend to be more traditional in styling and are conservative in color. They will typically have three, self colored buttons. Basic navy is always a good choice, though black coats are popular in the equitation ring.
Jumper show coats, while very similar in cut to the hunter show coats tend to be more modern in their styling. Generally they have four buttons or snaps and these may be either self colored or metallic silver or gold. While the base color is still typically conservative, the rider does have more freedom to choose and they may also choose a contrasting collar.
