Shop Figure 8 Bridles
Designed for Jumpers and Eventers
Figure 8 Bridles are frequently used by jumper riders and event riders. These bridles are identical to a basic snaffle bridles, except that the noseband is wrapped over the nose and under the chin in a "figure 8" shape.
This Figure 8 design acts to keep the mouth closed, similar to a drop or flash noseband, BUT allows for full extension of the nostrils which is needed for galloping. Generally, Figure 8 Bridles include some sort of cushioning at the cross point of the noseband.
Note: Figure 8 Bridles are not allowed in Dressage, but they are allowed in the dressage phrase of Eventing.
