English Safety Stirrups
Use Safety Stirrups! Don't take the chance of hanging up a foot in your stirrup.
Safety stirrups are designed to release your foot in the event of a fall. They generally have a quick release mechanism on the side a stirrup that will open under pressure. Should you fall with your foot still in the stirrup, the pressure will open the release and your foot will be freed.
