Your stirrup irons are a vitally important piece of tack.. a little like car tires being that all important contact point between the car and the road, stirrups provide the pivotal contact between you and your horse.

Traditional stirrups, also referred to as "fillis stirrups" have been around for years and are still the standard against which all stirrups are judged. They simple, reasonably light weight, come in sizes that accommodate most riders, and usually have replaceable pads.

Fillis stirrups are appropriate to all English disciplines and if you only have one pair of stirrups, this should probably be it!
