Comfortable & nice to ride in, but iffy tree!

I have had my Isabell saddle for many years and I love the way it rides. I've tried expensive leather saddles that I don't like as much! However, in the past couple years I've noticed that on multiple horses I've had to use shims under the front of the saddle because even though it looks like it fits, as soon as I put my weight in it, the saddle sits low in front. I kept putting narrower gullets in it, but it always seemed to wide. Finally one of the tree points broke completely off. Talking to a master saddler about repairing it, she told me that she's seen lots of problems with Wintec/Bates trees. The reason the saddle was sinking down in front is that the tree's been going for years; I only noticed it when it actually broke. $375 later she replaced the tree points and my saddle is good as new. A broken tree is really serious, and between my tree breaking and the saddler telling me she's seen lots of them, I'm hesitant to recommend this saddle. Other than the tree, I really like the saddle.
