Myler Eggbutt Bits with Hooks. The Eggbutt Bit with hooks is a round cheek piece with fixed attachment for the mouthpiece and slots (hooks) of top and bottom of the ring for headstall and rein attachment.

Function: The hooks on this bit create a lever action. When pressure is exerted on the reins, the mouthpiece rolls downward and backward in the mouth and pressure is applied to the poll via the headstall. When the rider releases the rein, the mouthpiece stays upright instead of resting on the tongue. The use of poll pressure encourages the horse to relax at the poll with less pressure than traditional ring bit. Because the side of the eggbutt is fixed, it will not pull through the mouth and does not pinch.

Health Care Products:

Equestrian Collections is always concerned about the health of our customers, and their horses. Open and/or expired supplements, or health care products are not covered by warranty and can not be returned or exchanged. In particular, Equestrian Collections can not guarantee any results from equine supplements. We encourage you to consult your veterinarian when choosing supplements and other equine health products.

Intimate Apparel:

Due to health concerns, all intimate apparel and body jewelry, are not eligible for return or exchange. Please consult with our Customer Service Representatives if you would like help with your selection prior to making your purchase.

Custom or Semi-Custom Items:

International Orders:

We gladly accept the return of International Orders. However, you will be responsible for any duty or taxes associated with the return shipment. Additionally, you must obtain an authorization prior to making an international return shipment to Equestrian Collections.

Equestrian Collections Outlet items are one of kind closeout items that are sold at deep discounts. They are sold "as is" and are returnable for STORE CREDIT ONLY.

Horse Clothing and Blankets:

We realize that horse blankets can be difficult to fit, so we allow you to try the blanket on your horse and return it if it does not fit. However, we ask that the blanket be kept CLEAN while you are trying it. Dirty, soiled blankets, or blankets that do not have original tags attached, can not be returned. Also, if the blanket does not fit, DO NOT leave it on your horse. A poorly fitting blanket will tear, and will therefore be deemed ineligible for return.

Great bit, wish they had my size!

Bit is wonderful for my horse, but the 5 inch is way too big on her and that is her usual size. Unfortunately, it's not made in a 4.75 or 4.5 inch.

This is a large heavy bit. I mean the rings are large and thick. I am returning the bit because the large metal hooks at the top poke into my mare's face.
