Myler Cavalry Shank Bits.  A curved shank bit with two rings and a fixed mouthpiece.
 
The ring is for the headstall and curb strap attachment, the bottom ring is for the reins.  The length of metal below the mouthpiece is flat and "S" curved at the angle toward the rider's hands.  The top, or purchase, is angled away from the horse, and the ring is squared.
 
Function:  Shanks are leverage bits, and typically used with a curb strap or chain.  Depending on the mouthpiece used, backward and downward pressure on the reins transfers into downward pressure on the tongue and bars, downward pressure o the poll, pressure on the curb, and forward and downward  pressure on the palate. The tops, or purchases, are bent away from the horse to prevent discomfort or rubbing. Myler purchase rings are squared so that both the headstall and curb strap stay in position without pinching or sending an incorrect message.  The curved shank transfers less pressure than a straight shank.   The curved shank also stays out of reach from a horse that may try to lift a shank with its lips.

DVDs, VHS, CDs:
Equestrian Collections is committed to following all International Copyright Laws and ending pirating of intellectual property. Due to International Copyright Law, open DVDs, VHS tapes, or CDs are not eligible for return or exchange of any kind. (Unopened products in their original packaging are, of course, full returnable)

Health Care Products:
Equestrian Collections is always concerned about the health of our customers, and their horses. Open and/or expired supplements, or health care products are not covered by warranty and can not be returned or exchanged.  In particular, Equestrian Collections can not guarantee any results from equine supplements.  We encourage you to consult your veterinarian when choosing supplements and other equine health products.

Intimate Apparel:
Due to health concerns, all intimate apparel and body jewelry, are not eligible for return or exchange. Please consult with our Customer Service Representatives if you would like help with your selection prior to making your purchase.

Custom or Semi-Custom Items:
Custom or Semi-Custom Items are made especially for you and are therefore not returnable, or exchangeable, except for manufacturer's defect. Our Customer Service Representatives are always available to help you design your custom orders so that they will be just right for you and your horse.

International Orders:
We gladly accept the return of International Orders.  However, you will be responsible for any duty or taxes associated with the return shipment.  Additionally, you must obtain an authorization prior to making an international return shipment to Equestrian Collections. 

Outlet Items:
Equestrian Collections Outlet items are one of kind closeout items that are sold at deep discounts.  They are sold "as is" and are returnable for STORE CREDIT ONLY. 

Horse Clothing and Blankets:
We realize that horse blankets can be difficult to fit, so we allow you to try the blanket on your horse and return it if it does not fit.  However, we ask that the blanket be kept CLEAN while you are trying it.  Dirty, soiled blankets, or blankets that do not have original tags attached, can not be returned.  Also, if the blanket does not fit, DO NOT leave it on your horse.  A poorly fitting blanket will tear, and will therefore be deemed ineligible for return.
