The Shadbelly Show Coat from TuffRider is 100% Polyester and tailored for a superb look. In addition to a truely elegant cut, this Shadbelly features antique silver horse-head buttons, and vest points. Look great in the show ring without blowing your budget!

Until quite recently, Shadbellies were a significant expense and out of reach for some riders. JPC wanted to bring all the elegance of the traditional Shadbelly to a much more affordable price point.

JPC Equestrian Elements of Style

For all tests above 4th level, the USEF rules require that riders ride in a tailcoat with top hat or a dark jacket with bowler hat. White or light colored breeches, stock or tie.

At most competitions, you will see women riders wearing a Dressage Shadbelly worn with stock tie, white breeches and top hat.

Please note that show jackets are sized with European sizing, which runs significantly smaller than American sizing. See size chart.

Some of our products come with Manufacturer's Warranties. Please note, these warranties are through the manufacturer and not Equestrian Collections. Products that DO NOT have a Manufacturer's Warranty are covered by the Equestrian Collections Warranty. Unless otherwise noted, Equestrian Collections will replace or repair a product that fails within six months of purchase, with normal use and conditions.

DVDs, VHS, CDs:

Equestrian Collections is committed to following all International Copyright Laws and ending pirating of intellectual property. Due to International Copyright Law, open DVDs, VHS tapes, or CDs are not eligible for return or exchange of any kind. (Unopened products in their original packaging are, of course, full returnable)

Health Care Products:

Equestrian Collections is always concerned about the health of our customers, and their horses. Open and/or expired supplements, or health care products are not covered by warranty and can not be returned or exchanged. In particular, Equestrian Collections can not guarantee any results from equine supplements. We encourage you to consult your veterinarian when choosing supplements and other equine health products.

Intimate Apparel:

Due to health concerns, all intimate apparel and body jewelry, are not eligible for return or exchange. Please consult with our Customer Service Representatives if you would like help with your selection prior to making your purchase.

Custom or Semi-Custom Items:

Custom or Semi-Custom Items are made especially for you and are therefore not returnable, or exchangeable, except for manufacturer's defect. Our Customer Service Representatives are always available to help you design your custom orders so that they will be just right for you and your horse.

International Orders:

We gladly accept the return of International Orders. However, you will be responsible for any duty or taxes associated with the return shipment. Additionally, you must obtain an authorization prior to making an international return shipment to Equestrian Collections.

Outlet Items:

Equestrian Collections Outlet items are one of kind closeout items that are sold at deep discounts. They are sold "as is" and are returnable for STORE CREDIT ONLY.

Horse Clothing and Blankets:

We realize that horse blankets can be difficult to fit, so we allow you to try the blanket on your horse and return it if it does not fit. However, we ask that the blanket be kept CLEAN while you are trying it. Dirty, soiled blankets, or blankets that do not have original tags attached, can not be returned. Also, if the blanket does not fit, DO NOT leave it on your horse. A poorly fitting blanket will tear, and will therefore be deemed ineligible for return.

Shadbelly purchase

This purchase was not a good use of my money. I bought a size 10, I typically wear a size 8 - this coat was far too small across the shoulders and through the chest. Clearly NOT a size 10!!!

Very nice coat for the money. I have a small upper body and I was worried that it would not be fitted enough and would look frumpy. Not so! It's a lovely coat and looks very elegant. It's nicely designed and seems durable. No extra fancy stuff but it's just what I needed. The buttons are maybe a little flimsy,but those could be easily changed. Also the tails are not weighted much, so they may blow around if it's really windy but maybe I could have some leather liners sewed in there. It was just fine for riding in normal conditions. Standing up, the points on the coat are a bit higher than my breeches, but it was perfect once I was sitting on my horse. Overall very nice for the money, many people may want to order up if they don't want it to be very fitted.
