Manage Fatigue In The Equine Athlete.

Herbsmith Equine Athlete® spports the athletic nature of the horse and manages fatigue in the equine athlete.

Every horse in competition needs to be supported to perform to his or her very best, and this blend can do that. When horses are pushed in an active show schedule, fatigue tends to develop with time. Fatigue of this type may manifest as a generalized weakness, especially of the lower back and the limbs. The Herbsmith Athlete® formula tonifies the yin, supports the balance between yin and yang and maintains the athletic nature of the horse during an active show schedule. This is an excellent herbal combination to manage fatigue and generally support the equine athlete.

Yang is generally described as outward, aggressive, active and essentially athletic in nature. Yin is described as inward, passive, fluids and essentially time-at-the-barn-relaxing in nature. This is a perfect blend for tonifying kidney and liver yin. When kidney yin is depleted due to stress, a general weakness of the skeletal system develops, especially in the lower back and legs. When liver yin is depleted the blood is affected and heat tends to be generated. Long-term yang to yin imbalance causes fatigue and increased susceptibility to other issues. In the athletic horse where yang is the primary nature, supporting the yin can provide the balance for optimal show performance and for general good health.
